Classic
Batteries can provide a range of case sizes to suit most applications
in both 6V and 12V, in addition we can provide a limited range of
24V batteries too.
In 2003 rubber battery casings are limited to those mouldings currently
in production. It may therefore be necessary to accept a similar
close sized battery where the original equipment for your vehicle
was an uncommon and long since out of production casing size.

Battery
Types
There are two types of battery currently available: these are open
bar and mono-lid.
Open
Bar
This
type of battery has the cell joiners exposed and predated the mono-lid
battery. customers should be aware that the exposed terminals are
always live and therefore pose a self health and safety hazard.
True concours customers may wish to use this battery but safety
conscious customers may wish to chose the mon-lid.
Mono-Lid
This
style of battery came after the open bar variety and is an obvious
step forward in technology with the cell joiners now insulated below
the cover. This style of battery was common on all motor vehicles
through the 1960's |
